Well it’s getting close to that time of the year, where we say goodbye to the warmer temperatures and embrace the Fall season! Autumn, brings with it lots of colour and activities! It is Harvest time, a time to be thankful for our great bounties and embrace the nature that surrounds us!

Fall also offers Buyers the opportunity to see those properties they are still interested in, before the ground and rooftops get covered with snow! Because of the darker days, it also enables them to appreciate how bright, or not so bright the home is!

It also happens to be a fantastic time for Buyers and Sellers, to start looking again, after taking the Summer off! According to data compiled over the last 8 months, through the MLS® system for Southern Georgian Bay region, months of inventory numbered 3.7 at the end of July 2019, little changed from 3.8 at end of July 2018. The 10 year average for this time of year being 7.1. The number of months inventory is the number of months it could take to sell current inventory, at current rate of sales activity. Southern Georgian Bay comprises of 2 distinctive markets.

The Western region comprises of Wasaga Beach, Clearview Township, Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, The Municipality of Meaford, and Grey Highlands.

The Eastern region, comprises of, The Towns of Midland and Penetanguishene, and The Townships of Tay and Tiny, Severn and Georgian Bay.

Home sales in the Western Region, numbered 217 units in July 2019. This was a large 36.5% increase from July 2018! Meanwhile, Home sales in the Eastern region, numbered 163 units, in July 2019, edging up 2.5% from July 2018!
